A new name that reflects our changing and expanding business
ComputerFleet, a leading technology financing company and a strategic partner of the Commonwealth Bank, needed to rebrand in order to communicate the changed nature of their business. Their employees carried two-sided business cards that showed both brand names. We had to remove any confusion about who ComputerFleet were and what they did – and create a new brand name that could stand alone and work alongside their partners branding.
The new name reflects the company’s strength in intelligent financing – the word ‘equi’ relating to the equal partnership the company forms in any leasing arrangement, its strategic partnerships, and also equity. The name and product logos can also be tagged onto any of its major international banking partners – including CBA, BBVA, Barclays Bank and AIB. Previously, they had never been able to take their own brand name direct to the end consumer.
The new brochures, stationery and website, with striking imagery, were launched in 2007 and 2008. Completely changing a company name is a bold step, but equigroup received instant credibility in the market, which enabled them to stand on their own as a strong brand with a positive point of difference.
